Has anyone had Lasik after 40 and feel like it's worth it?

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I had Lasik back when I was 22 years old. I'm now 43 and my distant vision started going bad again around 40. I've been wearing glasses since then. I've been wanting to get Lasik again to correct this but keep being told my close-up vision will be compromised. Has anyone done this and feel like it was still worth it. I'm figuring I'm going to have to wear readers at some point anyway so why have to wear glasses for long distant vision and close up.
