Hi everyone! I am in the final stages preparing for gastric bypass surgery and have my last dr. appointment this coming Monday 2/8 and then I just have to wait for my insurance to give the OK to schedule! I would be lying if I said I wasn't totally excited and a little nervous..... I currently weigh 301lbs and I'm worried about the loose skin that I will have after my weight loss. I went to a seminar last night that a local plastic surgeon gave and he was talking about large ugly scars after having surgery to remove excess skin. I'm not big on exercise (and I have a job where I sit behind a computer all day) but I plan on working out after my surgery, I just don't want to end up with a ton of excess skin and then either be stuck with that, or some scary looking scars...... Can anyone tell me if they have had surgery to remove the excess skin and if the scars are as bad as they say, or is it possible that I won't have to even go through surgery for that? HELP! - Nicole
