2 months ago I decided to put braces, since I have a deep bite. First I got them on my upper teeth. The other day I got the braces on my bottom teeth. Without prior notifying me, my orthodontist told me that now I would now have to eat only soft foods, because I won't be able to chew normally. She put a big chunk of glue on the back of my upper 2 central incisors so that ,,I wouldn't accidentally break any peace of the braces off''. These chunks serve as a way to rest my on them when I close my mouth. I can't really chew now since the only teeth that have contact now are my central incisors. What I really find weird is that I couldn't find any information of such method of treatment for a deep bite in internet. Does anyone have experience with it? Is it something normal and how did you cope with it? I really can't imagine having to eat only purees for an year...
