The bionic boob journey: Feb. 6-20: Just was not feeling well, almost like a cold or flu I could not get over. Feb 22: Pain in my Rbreast, could not get comfortable, hurt to move on it Sunday night, little sleep overnight. Feb 23: Breast started to swell, tenderness, general feelings of being "run down"Feb 24-25: felt horribly sick, like a terrible flu, woke up both nights drenched in sweat, felt horrible, ached all over. Feb 26: felt better than the day before (not good) but slightly better, Rbreast randomly itched, no apparent redness. thought, that maybe was on the mend. Still terribly achy, all over, joints hurt, back hurt, shoulders ached. Feb 27: stayed the same as the 26th, still low grade fever, by Friday night Rbreast felt like it was going to "pop" body ached all over. Feb 28: Felt terrible, Rbreast felt like it was going to pop, went in to urgent care, running low grade fever, doc checked breast noted significant swelling, 75% his words, noted no localized redness, maybe slightly more tender at 8-9 o'clock if breast were a clock. said I did NOT have cellulitus, strongly encouraged to go to ER. Feb 28: went to ER. PA looked at breast, noted swelling, did blood work. Ordered a contrast CT, was told a "possible" slow leak, sent home with diagnosis of cellulitus. Bloodwork said to be unremarkable. Never saw a doctor. Told to follow up with PS. PS out of town, another PS taking his calls could see me Tuesday morning. March 3: went to PS. Suggested possible cancer in breast tissue or rare ACLC cancer implant related. Ordered Mamo. Still feeling so worn down. Had a cough and extreme ache between shoulder blades. March 4: went in for diagnostic mamogram. Doctor says I was clear in the breast tissue...and I have swelling and a "halo" around my Rbreast he has never seen before. Sends me home, calls me on the way home and says I do have some "oddity" on my Rbreast nipple area, may be scaring, may be another rare form of cancer. He just wanted to let me know. March 5: went into Gyno app. Doctor checks breast, says there actually is some redness. Wants me to go to a breast specialist, will be seeing on the 9th. Put me on antibiotics. Finally feeling some better, still have a random cough...kind of like a pressure on my chest that I want to cough out and a pain/popping between my shoulder blades. Anyone had any similar experience?? Waiting for my next doc app on Monday, to rule out cancer in the breast tissue. I would love to know of any PS doctors in California who may have dealt with a case like mine. xo
