Revision Rhinoplasty Advice

More about Rhinoplasty

Hi everyone,

I had a primary rhinoplasty a little over two years ago, and unfortunately, I was devastated by the results. When I pointed out the issues during my post-op appointments, my surgeon insisted that he didn't see the problems I was mentioning. However, the mistakes are very noticeable, and I've even had other surgeons comment on the results.

I didn't go to an unknown surgeon—I chose someone who was reputed to be one of the best in the state.

I have one final follow-up appointment with the original surgeon, and I plan to ask for a revision to correct the mistakes. However, I'm feeling uncertain about having him perform the revision, since the initial surgery seems to have been beyond his level of expertise. The dilemma is that if I decide to go with a different surgeon, the costs for revision rhinoplasty is in the range of $20,000 to $40,000, which is simply not something I can afford. So now I'm stuck in a tough position.

Has anyone here had a similar experience? How did you approach a revision with your original surgeon or with a new one? Any advice on how to navigate this situation would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!
