Rhinoplasty regrets? Loss of identity? Depression? Anxiety? (Support thread)

Rhinoplasty is a serious operation that should not be taken lightly. Because it seems to be so mainstream, many people go into it unaware of the possible consequences. Sometimes it goes great, but how about when you are disappointed with the results? Lives are devastated everyday from disappointing rhinoplasty results. I recently got a revision rhinoplasty, which I call reconstructive surgery, because my primary rhinoplasty had issues that needed to be addressed. My primary was very conservative and I was actually very happy afterwards, but the local surgeon I went to was too aggressive, removed too much cartilage from one side, and after about ten years it started to collapse. Something had to be done, so I got corrective surgery. The revision I got was very thorough. Lots of things were moved around, shifted and manipulated. It changed my appearance more than I hoped and it's been a hard recovery.  When familiar features on your face are altered significantly often times you'll experience a wide range of problems emotionally--loss of identity syndrome, depression, anxiety, despair, etc. I'm starting this thead as a support thread.
