Hi all, so I am not 4 days post op from vaser to knees inner and outer thighs. I am a29 year old mum of two. I was first on the list so my procedure had finished by 11 and I was on my way home by 12.first day- felt fine. Stiff and sore but walking about the house and wasn't to bad at all. Second day- pain and stiffness felt much worse today. Kept on top of pain relief. Third day- check up with nurse. I complained that my left inner thigh was painful and hard. She agreed and mentioned about the red rash which I hadn't seen. She told me she would call the surgeon and give me a call back. So by the time I got home the nurse called back and asked could I come back to see dr. The dr said I had cellulitis and drew around the rash which had now spread with a marker pen. Advise was if the rash extends past this line to go to a&e if not to continue with antibiotics that evening- so I did end up at my local a&e who took some bloods off me and they came back terrible with lots of infection signs plus I had fever like symptoms. I was given I.v fluid and antibiotics via a drip and admitted to a ward. Day four- so came home from hosp which one gram of fluflox antibiotics every four hours for seven days. Felt good when I got home. Until I came to change my garments! So the clinic had given me two free garments one in which I felt happy with the other being noticeabley smaller. I had no choice but to swap while I washed the comfy pair. The tight pair had me in agony within minutes. Has anyone had garments to tight? The label says size 4 and my comfy ones say size 8? An hour later I couldn't take any more and took them off. The area of cellulitis had swollen up again and my legs where red raw! I am convinced the garments done this. I waited for my comfy ones to dry and put them on for bed and swelling has gone down and so has pain. I am wondering was this all worth it? And am also regretting it. It's my daughters holy communion party today and I can barely walk I feel like such an idiot doing this to myself.
