Hello -
I have had a very unpleasant experience with a Vaser procedure.
I was very fit, good diet, non smoker, I was bothered by my tiny little pouch, that didnt go away even with exercise (I exercised >3 times/week).
The doctor I have seen claimed to be an expert, he only said to me "no problem" when I told him I only want for the bulge to go, but no big changes. I liked my body, I still wanted to have the same shape. Just better, a bit more feminine, a bit perfected. But not this super athletic look.
I woke up from surgery. I was hugely swollen. The procedure took more than 5 hours. My whole body was swollen (incl. my hands), I was in hospital for 4 nights.I had massive, massive swelling in my lower abdomen, this had to be aspired (the first time >1l bloody luid was collected). My vagina was heavily (I mean heavily, it was protruding the whole area) swollen, my legs were covered in blue hematoma. I could not walk for 2 days because of weakness.
The doctor did not check on me every day in the clinic. I was very worried about the swellings , I had a catheter the first day to pee, and spent the first day fully in bed. No thrombosis socks (i think they did not expect me to be this long in hospital).
I felt very ill.
Then I noticed after ca 1 month the first irregularities, the doctor said it's all normal and still swelling. I kept telling them I notice hardness developing etc. He kept saying it's all normal I need to wait ca 5 months. I decided to see the doctor after 3 months, then he changed his opinion. Said this is scarring, and I need a revision. (Vaser only), after 5 months.
I have not gone ahead with that revision, I am devastated now about the results. I would really like to understand what had happened. From the literature I am reading I think I have been overtreated, and too much fat has been taken out (is that correct?).
I am also fully scarred, it's like my skin is glued to the abdominal wall.
My gynocologist also mentioned I could have problems with a pregnancy, because there is a massive scar plate in my lower abdomen.
I am fully devastated, I also don't understand - it appears he tried to give me fake abs, am I correct?
When I asked him after the surgery he said no that is for men only, and for women he takes out all the fat.
If you could help me explain what has happened to me, I would apprecate it. I have pain in my abdomen. I can not move freely as before, also breathing is uncomfortable. I cannot do my sports as before.
Am I right, the surgeon was too aggressive on me? I am overtreated? And this is (almost) impossible to fix? I only wanted a little bit of lipo...
Thank you for an honest opinion
