Hi there,

im looking for some advice. I decided to have 8 emax crowns on my upper teeth to replace old crowns which were placed about 15 years ago. I done a smile design where I picked the shape colour size of the crowns and a mould was made which was used for my temps.

I had the temps fitted which were good, perm crowns fitted with temp glue(luckily) and they did not match at all to the temp mould which I liked. The bite seemed to be slighly open on new crowns and the few were not In line so off came the perm crowns and back Into temp crown mould which again were good, looked great in terrns of shape, colour and fit, no probs with speech at all. I went back again and new crowns tenp fitted, this time shape of crowns really good no triangles or gaps but again the bite just seems slightly open and not quite right. i managed to keep photos of before and after on all temps to perm and managed to provide examples dentist. I am at my wits end to how the lab can not copy the size, shape and fit of the temp crowns which we have a mould for to make the temp crowns, the bite seems completely off on both attempts at perm crowna, is there anything I can suggest with the lab to fix this. I have found speech really hard on both permanent crown sets but the temp onew have been perfect. My dentist is top established cosmetic doctor and the lab they use is a one of the top labs within the uk.

Has anyone got any experience with this or any suggestion, this now going to tge third attempt at crown and it's becoming a bit of nightmare. It should never be the case that temps look and feel better than the perms.

thanks for listenIng
