If you are considering ThermiTight to combat the signs of aging and that dreadful sagging skin, here are 5 things you should know:

1) ThermiTight is minimally invasive and ideal for most people that are in good health.

Caution, If you are taking blood thinners be aware that although this is a minimally invasive treatment, it does involve making a very small incision under the skin to insert the probe. It is recommenced that you see your primary physician to discuss any risks.  Doctor Ronald Shelton warns patients on blood thinners that  "there is a considerable chance of worse bruising than is typically seen, and even the risk exists of developing a hematoma, which is a collection of blood underneath the skin." 2) Multiple treatments are usually not necessary and the results are long lasting.

Usually only   one treatment is required, but it all depends on how much tightening is needed.  Dr. Edward Dickerson tells us more in the following video:

Wondering just how long your results will last.  Doctor Joseph A. Eviatar tells his patients "to anticipate to begin to see improvement after 6-8 weeks, and not before that time. Most patients have very nice improvement by 4 months with maximal improvement up to 6-8 months." [Read more] The great news, according to Doctor  Harrison C. Putman III, is "Thermitight results in the face and neck do last for several years and can be impressive" but he reminds us that they are not permanent. [Read more]

3) You can treat any part of the body where there is saggy skin.

According to  Doctor Brian J. Lee "ThermiTight will work anywhere on the body with loose skin as long as the skin is not overly hanging or excessive." [Read more] Doctor Allan Wulc explains in the following video that ThermiTight can even tighten the muscles underlying the skin:

4) It's a quick in-office procedure, an hour is usually all the time you need to get the job done.
Depending on the size of treatment area, the entire procedure is typically done in 1-2 hours.

5) Minimal downtime and side effects is a big advantage of ThermiTight.

After treatment you can expect some slight  swelling and redness, which can last up to 2 weeks. Be aware that although rare, minor and temporary nerve injury can happen, according to doctor Joshua L. Fox, it "is uncommon, but does occur and is a known possible side effect after Thermi procedures." [Read more] Most people are able to return to normal activity within 24 hours after treatment.
