I was one of the victims of the thread lift craze that seemed to sweep social media two years ago. While the ‘fox eye’ trend intrigued me, I was more interested in seeing if a thread lift could provide a non surgical solution to my low sitting eyebrows which gave me a RBF face in recent years.
I ended up opting to get 60 threads which were fairly expensive in a cross stitching pattern and the thread lift procedure itself was excruciatingly painful. In the end, I didn’t think the subtle results were worth the cost or the pain. I was bruised and puffy for a week, the definition of my jawline was lackluster, and since I found out that thread lifts could create scar tissue that would make it more difficult to later undergo a facelift, I think they’re definitely a mistake. I ultimately ended up opting to get a surgical browlift to fix my droopy eyebrows.
Has anyone achieved results with a thread lift that they’re happy with? Do you think there’s a time and place for thread lifts or are they a passing fad?
