For those who've had a lip lift, did it help you show more teeth when smiling?

I want a lip lift primarily because my upper front teeth only show about 40% when smiling. However, I'm worried that I'll get the surgery, risk the scar, and it won't help. If you've had an upper lip lift, did this show more of your teeth? If so, how much would you estimate?
