I'm still researching yet before i undergo primary but i wanted to start something on here about different online methods people use for finding the best possible, highest quality, highest rated, and most specialist rhinoplasty surgeons. If anyone has tried even a little research then they will know that finding the best surgeons out there is easier said than done, as there are so many who claim to be the best, claim to be specialist and claim to be an authority in revisions and tricky cases. Also i've pretty much given up on reading online reviews in bulk as you simply cant trust them.My approach so far for narrowing down choices quickly has been to find surgeons using the following steps in the following order. This is somewhat of a fast track approach and it certainly isn't perfect but it seems to be working quite well so far (at least for me anyway).
1) Search through RealSelf and select rhinoplasty surgeons who have a significant number of gallery photos for both primary and revision cases.
2) Use the drop down window in their photo gallery make a list of surgeons whose gallery cases heavily leans towards nose surgery - at least 80-90%.
3) Using your list of RealSelf selections go to each surgeons website and confirm whether or not they are in fact specialists in rhinoplasty or just a jack of all trades.
4) Now contact the surgeons from your research list and further filter down the results by getting answers to the following questions.

a) Have they specialised in rhinoplasty for at least 10-15 years minimum?
b) Have they performed at least 1000+ specific cases of rhinoplasty during their career?
c) Have they been performing at least 150+ procedures during each of the most recent years?
That's pretty much it. Whatever surgeons you have on your list after this you can be fairly sure that at the very least they won't be rubbish when it comes to performing rhinoplasty. From this point onwards i suppose its a matter of making a final decision based on consultations and picking the surgeon you feel understands you the most and makes you feel most comfortable, and of course is suitably priced! If anyone has their own ideas and methods for finding high quality surgeons then please feel free to share! Or if people can help me out by improving my own approach somehow then please post your comments. Thanks!
