Hi! My breast augmentation is scheduled for 9/3. After trying on sizers, 3D renderings, and looking at hundreds of photos, I've decided that something in the 350-400cc range would give me the size I'm looking for. The 355cc sizers I tried looked amazing! But since the final result is likely to look a bit smaller and less projected, according to my surgeon, I want to go just a smidge bigger to account for this.
I just had my pre-op appointment, where we confirmed both the digital and physical (i.e. calipers) measurement of my Breast Width Diameter, which is about 10.5cm. Based on my goals--noticeable increase in fullness, softness, good cleavage, but a natural slope/profile--we decided that Sientra High Profile 385cm Smooth Round placed under the muscle would be the game plan.
My surgeon feels comfortable with this, even though my BWD is only 10.5 and the implant width is 12.5. I really like my surgeon and we seem to be on the same page re: aesthetic outcomes. His work is excellent--haven't seen a single "After" photo of his that didn't wow me. So, why am I so nervous now??
Is BWD the end-all, be-all? Anyone else have bigger implants than their BWD? I'm worried if I go with an implant that's only 10-11cm wide, that I won't get the meaningful volume increase I'm looking for and they won't sit close enough to give me nice cleavage.
My current stats:
5'2"
122lbs
32B (technically, more like a 32C, but I'm pretty shallow)
4 kids, 6 years total of breastfeeding, but no real sagging (they just never grew much during pregnancy!)
Measurements are approx - 33:26:38 - I would say height-wise I'm petite, but not super skinny. I definitely have curves and feel like my chest doesn't look great with the rest of me.
Any advice would be great!
