Hello!
I just received a BBL/Halo laser treatment of my face, neck, and chest. I was well prepared for the procedure, and followed all the instructions diligently. When the RN started on the face, I could not believe how badly it hurt, so much that after 2 passes, I told her I could not take it anymore. I was fully numbed, and had the Nitrous Oxide which barely phased me. It was so bad that the nurse, who was very conservative and listened to me attentively, suggested that we stop all together and move on to a different laser for the neck and chest. I decided to give it a shot anyways, and the last thing I expected was to feel nothing on those two areas. On a pain scale of 1 to 10 on my face, I was a 9. On my neck and chest, I was a 1.
These treatments are so costly, and the nurse gave me a little break but still, I really feel I didn't get all I needed for what I paid for. Now, who knows, maybe stopping the treatment was a smart decision. Since it was my first Halo, I have no point of reference and have no idea what the right amount of "trauma" is for my skin. Sometimes, less is more. As I am recovering, I can tell you that the burning sensation remains stronger on my face with half of the Halo treatmnt than on my neck and chest where I got the full one. Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
