Hello everyone and thank you in advance for any advice you can offer. I'm a 29 year old fitness model and avid weight lifter who frequents the gym 5 days/week, focusing on high rep, medium to heavy weight on chest days via bench press, dumbell press, flyes, etc. I'm 5'9", 160 pounds (currently bulking), and fluctuate between a small to medium B cup based on leanness. My fiance is a med student and we're both fitness fanatics, so we tend to obsess over research with decisions like this.I am planning on 500cc-550cc saline implants, preferably the new Ideal structured variety. My surgeon is currently working on getting them for me. My quandry is whether to place them above or below the muscle. The more I read from athletes and surgeons who specialize in active patients, the more it seems over the muscle is a reasonable choice. My surgeon is open to doing whatever I decide and didn't really have a definitive suggestion one way or the other - he thinks I have enough tissue for over the muscle to be a valid option, but obviously there are pros and cons. I worry about displacement and muscle damage with under, while I worry about rippling (if we can get the Ideal implants hopefully they would limit this concern) , an extremely fake look, and eventual stretching/ball in sock look with over.I'm hoping to get the opinions of surgeons or other athletes here that can help me in my decision. Thank you!
