Labia majora gaping after labiaplasty

Can't find a forum for labia majora reduction?!

Over 10 years ago I had labiaplasty and the surgeon for some reason cut them really short and sewed them to the insides of my labia majora. Something I definitely didn't ask for!!!! Also I had poor healing and stitches popped apart etc etc, so the clitoral area is now wonky and has loose bits of skin here and there.

I have always had very skinny labia majora anyway so what's now happened is that they "gape" and are just loose hanging skin with no labia minora to fill the gap.

With age, peri-menopause and weight loss, its just so much worse now.

In the summer when I am sweating, they even stick to my thighs which feels and looks horrific.

I just feel like a complete freak and feel sick and anxious most days.

I finally got the courage to have a consultation with Dr Bader in London who is in the elite circle of top gynaecology surgeons- and he was so amazing and reassuring - he had some ideas how to make me look more normal again and I left feeling on cloud nine.

But honestly I'm just terrified. I can't live like this anymore, hating myself every day. But with so much trauma from the first surgery, I'm now waking up with anxiety and sweating just at the thought of booking. I am scared of everything that could go wrong. I don't know how it could possibly be worse than it is but what if I have medical complications? Ongoing pain after it? (At least now I dont).

I am just so terrified of everything that could go wrong- I feel paralysed with fear.

I don't have anyone to come with me to London for surgery so would get a taxi back to my Mums that night - about an hour away, and could then be looked after.

It's a huge amount of money too (some of which I have but half I need to borrow) but I can't go on like this.

Has anyone had a poor outcome the first time and a second surgery was worth it?

Words of advice/calm would be gratefully appreciated.
