Is all lipo created equal? (Traditional vs. laser lipo etc.)

I keep hearing that you have to do the newer type of lipo that tightens the skin while sucking out the fat. (I think it’s referred to as laser lipo or highdef lipo.) But does it really make a difference or is it all just marketing?
