Hello, I had a Septoplasty/Rhinoplasty 11 days ago.
To say it’s been a nightmare is an understatement.
Had the “stents” out at 8 days, it took the surgeon over an hour to remove them, the pain was so unbearable I was screaming, (I can take pain) twisting them every which way trying to cut the stitches which were so hard like thick wire.
A codeine pill, nasal numbing injections and one Valium later, he got them out. Utter torture.
My surgeon did not want me using any nasal spray after surgery or now.
I can feel what appears to be such hard thick “skin” blocking my nostrils, can’t breathe through nose.
Had anyone experienced this???
Surgeon said it will get swollen and from all that he did, I’m just hoping this is inflammation from the trauma.
I am to just clean the Inside of my nose with a q tip and hydrogen peroxide but only just inside the nose, this hardened skin is blocking my nose anyway.
I am so upset, this whole thing has been butter torture.
