I’ve been waking up with new zits every morning. To begin with I have always had acne for several years now, I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2014 that’s when my skin started breaking out in cystic acne, my dermatologist put me on Accutane and that worked for a year. And the acne came back after that. I tried everything to get rid of acne but unfortunately it was the PCOS which always caused it to happen. After 4 years I went to the Gynacologist since my periods had skipped the date and I asked her what could I do for my acne. She put me on Normoz and Spironolactone 25 mg that worked like magic and I had to stop because I had a rough phase with a lot of stress and anxiety also I flew to the states and came back to India when I went back to her she put me on 12.5 me of Spironolactone and that worked again my skin cleared up. I had it for a week but I had to stop it again due to something. After a month i started with 25mg of Spironolactone, thinking it would work again and its been over 3 weeks, my skin has been breaking out real bad, i was wondering how did it not work now ? I went back to my gynaecologist and she told me it was the stress acne that was coming out since I had a episode of anxiety and stress. I read many reviews too which said that it gets worse before it gets better? But how did it work earlier without geting worse? She upped my dose to 50mg per day. And she said that if you wish you could stop Spironolactone but I knew that it’s the only saviour. So I continued this. I wake up with new zits every morning. I don’t know if it’s normal or not but to me, I am really conscious about my skin. I’ve battled with acne all my life and since Spironolactone has shown me results before I was certain it would show me results again. I was waking up with zits even when I was on the 25mg and now 50 mg. Should I wait and see the Results ? I’m so sorry worried because this is the only thing I had been counting on. I’m always waiting for my periods for this month, the Gynac said there is a possibility of my hormones to balance out and my skin to clear up and then the Spironolactone can show it’s results, wel that’s my opinion. What do you’ll think ?
